Step up your dinner game

Craft beer and food were meant to be enjoyed together. For thousands of years the malty fermented beverage known as beer has been part of elaborate celebrations and hearty feasts. While many people have heard of pairing different foods with different varieties of wines, how many people have actually taken part in a meal paired with a flight of craft beer? Despite the popularity of wine pairings within the restaurant industry, many food experts and even some sommeliers will tell you that craft beer is excellent with food and just as good, if not better paired with food than wine. While all wines tend to have a slightly acidic flavor, craft beers come in an abundance of flavors ranging from sweet to sour, roasty to spicy, and everywhere in between. The abundance of different flavors allow for a much wider spectrum of pairing possibilities.
